0

Dillon Francis has announced his Spanish album is complete, but he’s already reaching out to other cultures through his new music! The world renowned DJ/producer has given the chart-topping Indian hit “Bom Diggy” a flavorful spin. Dillon’s new remix fuses progressive qualities and global trap for a cross-cultural experience, which he’s all about. The original version of “Bom Diggy” by Zack Knight and Jasmin Walia took the country by storm as it shot to #1 on iTunes India’s download charts. Since it was first released in Fall 2017, it has remained in the Top 10. Now, there’s no telling where this new remix might take it. Francis opened up to a source about his remix: “It’s great to see that the original ‘Bom Diggy’ single was one of the biggest tracks of last year. The remix is a great way to be involved in something with cross-cultural appeal and it’s exciting to be involved with a platform that supports independent artists.” “Bom Diggy” – Zack Knight and Jasmin Walia (Dillon Francis Remix)   Source: Radio and Music | Photo via Rukes.com !function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s){if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function(){n.callMethod? n.callMethod.apply(n,arguments):n.queue.push(arguments)};if(!f._fbq)f._fbq=n; n.push=n;n.loaded=!0;n.version=’2.0′;n.queue=[];t=b.createElement(e);t.async=!0; t.src=v;s=b.getElementsByTagName(e)[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(t,s)}(window, document,’script’,’https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/fbevents.js’); fbq(‘init’, ‘270428839820698’); // Insert your pixel ID here. fbq(‘track’, ‘PageView’); fbq(‘track’, ‘ViewContent’); (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.5&appId=366355696827687”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));(function(d, s, id) {var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.0”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, “script”, “facebook-jssdk”));

Robert Plant Discusses ‘Kashmir’ on Dan Rather’s ‘Big Interview’

0

Robert Plant will help kick off a new season of The Big Interview With Dan Rather next month, and the veteran newsman got him talking about where “Kashmir” ranks on the singer’s personal list of best Led Zeppelin songs.In a promo video for the upcoming seventh season of the show — on which the host interviews some of the biggest names in entertainment — Rather describes the similarities among the many musicians he’s talked to. “They believe in the power of music, and also they believe that music is part of what unites us,” he says.But what music is at the forefront for Plant? It’s not the first time he’s talked about about how much he loves “Kashmir,” the popular Zeppelin epic from the band’s 1975 double LP Physical Graffiti. “It’s one of my favorites,” Plant wrote in the liner notes for the band’s 1993 The Complete Studio Recordings box set. “That, ‘All My Love’ and ‘In the Light’ and two or three others really were the finest moments. But ‘Kashmir’ in particular. It was so positive, lyrically.”In an interview with Rolling Stone, Plant once said, “It’s the quest, the travels and explorations that Page and I went on to far climes well off the beaten track. … That, really, to me is the Zeppelin feel.”In the meantime, Plant is keeping busy, with a new tour and a new live DVD, Robert Plant & the Sensational Space Shifters Live at David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption that features an eight-song performance at the Los Angeles Ace Hotel Theatre from October 2016, The show includes Zeppelin songs “Black Dog,” “Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You,” “Going to California” and “Whole Lotta Love.” The performance helped raise funds for the David Lynch Foundation, and proceeds from the DVD’s sale will also benefit the foundation.Plant, who released his last album, Carry Fire, in October, will kick off his tour in Raleigh, N.C., on Feb. 9. He’ll be on the road through August. His Big Interview With Dan Rather episode will air on AXS TV on March 13 at 9PM ET. You can watch the teaser video above.

Mija is begging to be acknowledged with her latest, “Notice Me.” Her production goes far beyond what anyone could expect or anticipate, because the track doesn’t follow trends or classify as a particular genre. It doesn’t follow made up rules and it certainly doesn’t have a “drop.” This is genuine, authentic, and good down to the last note. This is 100% the real Mija that we’re hearing — and it’s beautiful. There’s something special about “Notice Me” that, to be honest, simply can’t be described through words. Through her thoughtfully written sounds and lyrics, Mija harnesses feelings instead. “Notice Me” is vulnerable and affectionate — a raw, emotional music experience. Mija shares her own thoughts on the track: funny thing is… you only noticed me when i stopped caring. this song is about the feedback loop inside ur head, consuming all of ur attention. and the release of all the fucks u never should have given in the first place. How To Measure The Distance Between Lovers, Mija’s debut EP, is due out via self-release on Feb 9th. Get ready for more where this came from. To Mija — just know you are most definitely noticed. Why David Byrne Won’t Reunite Talking Heads

0

David Byrne discussed his reasons for avoiding a Talking Heads reunion, while also looking forward to his upcoming solo tour, in a new interview with Rolling Stone.“There’s a lot to that,” he said when asked about reuniting the art-rock band that broke up in 1991. “I see what happens with other people when they do their reunions – and then it turns into a second reunion and a third reunion. With someone like the Pixies, it’s different – they’re getting the audience now that they deserved ages ago. But with a lot of them, it just seems like you don’t have anything new to say, and you go, ‘Okay, this is just some kind of nostalgia exercise.’ And I’m not interested in that.”Byrne previously described the road trip associated with his new album American Utopia as as his “most ambitious” since Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense shows in 1983. “We have six drummers and percussionists,” he noted, adding that his vision included the musicians engaged in choreographed motion throughout the performance. “The human beings become the set.”These days, the singer and songwriter spends much of his time on side projects, including writing books and developing his “Reasons to the Cheerful” lecture series. “You can only slog away at writing a song for so long and then you’ve kind of gotten the water out of that well – and you need to let the well fill up again,” he explained. “I also compartmentalize a lot. I focus on one thing for a few hours and then break for lunch and work on something else. You take a little break from recording or whatever and go, ‘Okay, let’s breathe in something else and see if it brings a little bit of an inspiration somewhere.’”American Utopia comes out on March 9. Byrne’s U.S. tour starts on March 3 and runs until June 9, before he picks it up in other parts of the world.

Camila Cabello – Havana (Lick Twist Remix)

0

The New York bound DJ duo Lick Twist have just put their touch on Camila Cabello and Young Thug’s pop single “Havana,” showcasing their talent and turning it into something excitingly trap centered. As the two remixers bring us along on an intimate 808 journey, you’ll hear a mixture of electronic and hip hop elements that blend in quite well with the original track. The remix resembles a lot of current trap music and insinuates the style which is being played at almost all sizable dance festivals these days. Futuristic and melodic trap styles are truly combined for a great revamp. Lick Twist have a lot in store for those following along including a new single release and an upcoming show in Bimini with STFU & Party both in March. Make sure to follow Lick Twist on Soundcloud for more music! !function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s){if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function(){n.callMethod? n.callMethod.apply(n,arguments):n.queue.push(arguments)};if(!f._fbq)f._fbq=n; n.push=n;n.loaded=!0;n.version=’2.0′;n.queue=[];t=b.createElement(e);t.async=!0; t.src=v;s=b.getElementsByTagName(e)[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(t,s)}(window, document,’script’,’https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/fbevents.js’); fbq(‘init’, ‘270428839820698’); // Insert your pixel ID here. fbq(‘track’, ‘PageView’); fbq(‘track’, ‘ViewContent’); (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.5&appId=366355696827687”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));(function(d, s, id) {var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.0”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, “script”, “facebook-jssdk”));

Raiden and Tom Tyger Bring Back 80’s Dance Music for ‘C’est La Vibe’ [Music Video]

0

Very recently, the extraordinary producers Raiden and Tom Tyger brought their individual style’s together to craft the eclectic house-hit, ‘C’est La Vibe’. While the single released on Protocol Recordings had already garnered attention for its eclectic production style, the artists recently dropped a music video accompanying the single to give listeners the full-viewing experience. Enjoy the old-school music video for Raiden & Tom Tyger’s ‘C’est La Vibe’.  From the first second of the music video, ‘C’est La Vibe’ pays homage to the late 1980s – 1990s dance scene with plenty of era-relevant graphics and models who exemplify the era. While this video may have materialized from the “far-out” future of 2017, the directors took classic analog television filming style, which captures the diverse house elements found in the track. In a world where dance music videos can sometimes be seen as secondary and uninspired, Raiden and Tom Tyger’s nod to when dance music first gained traction is a great addition to the electronic music community. Just like the track, the video shows careful attention to the fun-yet-meaningful visuals which also contain a comedic nod to David Hasselhoff at the end of the video which ties in the VHS references scattered throughout. Enjoy the nostalgia. In addition, as a gift, pick up Raiden’s remix of Clean Bandits ‘Symphony’ and Galantis ‘Run Away’ as a free download. Brian Johnson Didn’t Want to ‘Cheat’ AC/DC Fans

0

Former AC/DC singer Brian Johnson looked back on the hearing problems that forced him out of the band in 2016, and said he didn’t want to “cheat” in the delivery of his performances. He left suddenly during AC/DC’s world tour in support of 2015 album Rock or Bust, and was eventually replaced by Axl Rose.“Onstage it was getting harder and harder to hear the guitars, even hear the keys, and I was basically going on muscle memory,” Johnson told the Sunday Times in a recent interview. “And I’m not the kind of guy who likes to cheat. The way I look at it, I had a great run.”After his departure, he vowed to find a way to keep performing, and he’s returned to the stage a handful of times since then. However, he didn’t address the possibility of rejoining AC/DC. The band’s future remains in doubt with the death of co-founder Malcolm Young (who retired a few years ago because of his own health problems) and the departures of Johnson, drummer Phil Rudd and bassist Cliff Williams in recent years.In December, Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott criticized the way AC/DC dealt with Johnson’s issues. “I wouldn’t have done it like that,” he said. “I can’t speak for Angus [Young] and his team as to what their reasons were for doing what they did, but considering that we had a drummer lose an arm and we waited for him, the way that they dealt with it was not the way I would have done it. Put it that way. … But it’s not really AC/DC anymore, is it? It’s basically just Angus and the other four now – so I don’t know that Brian’s ever gonna come back.”
